I hadn't thought to post any news about my birthday present. My husband drove seven hours round trip to buy me the cutest little Matese puppy. We have always had female dogs but this little mail was the only one left from the litter so we now have a male puppy. He is so darn cute, I have a hard time keeping my hands off of him. He is a chewer. Fingers are his favorite but toes are fair game too. I will upload a picture if I can remember how.

I am disappointed that the link to our house in Costa Rica doesn't work on the IPad. It would have been really neat to have it mobile. Starting to pack for our visit to Costa Rica. I am curious to see how the house looks after being empty for so long. I am not going to miss this cold weather. Michelle and I have been doing a lot of paper crafting. Her talent is amazing I love watching her create her projects. I finally delivered the stocking caps for the homeless to Joyce yesterday. One more thing off my list. Now to decide if I am taking yarn to CR or not. I think I might do some needlepoint instead. Went to Family Arts and got the the thread for a new project. Another quilt design rather than picture design. Retirement sure gives a person time to do the things we enjoy but it is easy to nothing. Seems I did more when I worked than now. Well Dear readers I must get off my duff and do something productive. Will post again soon.

Just checking in

Shrimp Boat Adventure

John came up with the idea of going out on one of the shrimp boats that we see from the patio. Well, it was a lot easier to set up than either one of us thought. Early this morning John met a ponga boat on the beach and was driven to the "Lady Natalia". He had a wonderful time and took lots of pictures. I find it hard to post more than a couple on this blog so here is one of the boat.
Here is a picture of the crew

Costa Rica 07/18/2011

I can't believe it has been such a long time since I have added anything to my blog, but today that is all going to change. I have a ton of pictures to share.
John went out fishing with a new group of guys and took some great pictures of a rooster fish they caught. Really beautiful pictures.

thoughts

Sunday morning,it is so quite with John gone on his fishing trip. I hope he is having a good time. His phone doesn't work from Canada so communication will be sparse. There is a computer available but we are talking fishing or computer. I think fishing will win out.
I went shopping with my daughter yesterday. What a great day. I bought another new purse. Bright pink! Don't know what I was thinking but I do love it. Pink? Really?
I need to get off here and get ready for church.

Ah Summer

Finally the weather in Phoenix has gotten warmer. I love the heat so summer is great for me. Everyone else complains but not me!
I am feeling better after having a week of being out of sorts. Part of the problem of being my age, of well nothing to do but just keep doing.
I had a wonderful three day crop for the cure with my daughter and came home Mother's Day to having all our children over for take out chicken. My husband organized the whole thing and I just sat back and enjoyed the kids. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful expended family.
I hope to organize my craft room a little today. I have two new baskets and want to set them up with thank you card supplies and maybe another with Easter supplies. I unpacked from the three day and repacked for the three day Crop A Roo next week end. I have fallen in love with "the button farm" kits and have joined the kit of the month, waiting for my first kit to arrive. I ordered the "Vintage Beach" kit and will work on that while at the crop this week end. Cropping for three days with only my Creative Memories weekender and two totes (one for glues and one with supplies). I will let you know if I can do a three day with so few supplies. Last weekend I took my big roller back for Creative Memories, four totes, the weekender and three small organizers. I took way too much stuff.
Stop back soon and see what I have done with the craft room.
